William Jessup University will hold two more volleyball camps for boys and girls (ages 10-18) this summer at the school’s Rocklin campus. The camps are run by high-level club and college coaches and staffed by current members of the WJU volleyball team. Daily instruction includes both team and individual skills, based on competitive style workouts with a player staff ratio of 10-1. All athletes will be grouped by age and ability levels. All campers, regardless of groupings, will be exposed to the same skill/training techniques. There will be a personalized evaluation done by each court coach of each athlete. Lunch is provided for day campers, and all three meals for those attending the overnight camps. There will also be a snack bar for athletes to purchase snacks and drinks after camp hours. A volleyball booth will be available on the opening day for participants to purchase volleyball gear. Each camper will receive a Warrior camp shirt, and prizes for individual accomplishments throughout the week. There will also be end of camp awards in various areas of skills. The girls overnight camp (ages 10-18) will run from July 26-30 and cost $425. A day camp is offered for $225. The setters overnight camp (ages 12-18 girls and boys) will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., July 31-Aug. 1, and cost $160.
