William Jessup University forms ACTS to pick up Where Luis Palau Festival left off

-A +A

William Jessup University will sponsor a new initiative entitled, “ACTS: Advancing City Transformation Strategies” in partnership with local churches, the Luis Palau organization and with regional business and civic leaders to extend the recent efforts resulting from Season of Service, Convoy of Hope and similar works.

"We are excited to take this additional step toward connecting leadership and transformation in our region," said Jessup President Dr. John Jackson. “We will continue to partner with local churches in sponsoring events and initiatives that will bring about personal, organizational and cultural transformation for the glory of God.”

The office of ACTS will be located at William Jessup University in Rocklin. Jeff Kreiser, former pastor of outreach and extension at Lakeside Church in Folsom, will serve as the inaugural director of the movement. Kreiser has broad experience in local and global outreach and worked successfully in the recent Palau festival to link churches to service projects and head the follow-up team. Kreiser has a particular passion for prayer, outreach and unity.

“I am thrilled to begin working in this capacity,” Kreiser said. “One of my core goals is to see leading believers from the public, private and business sectors come together and be at the center of community transformation efforts in the Sacramento region.”
