William Jessup University’s annual fall concert will be held on Nov. 6 from 7:30-10 p.m. Designed to appeal to a wide range of audiences, the event is one of two concerts a year that the university hosts to showcase the talents of its entire music department. The program opens with a performance by the university’s 24-piece symphonic band followed by performances from various choral groups including the university, alumni and community choirs. New this year, the University Singers, a 12 to 15-member group will perform a capella, contemporary and classical pieces. Multiple soloist performances of a classical nature as well as small student ensemble settings will also be spotlighted. “This evening will be a testament to WJU’s music programs’ breadth and depth as it reveals the tremendous talent and range that we cover,” Music Department Chair, Tom Ruscica said. “We like to use this opportunity to let our surrounding community know about the quality of our program and that we can provide musical repertoires that bolster an accelerated level of excellence proving that the caliber of our music programs are extraordinary.”
