William Jessup University guard Jason Washington and CSU Maritime guard Haven Piatt were selected as the California Pacific Conference men’s basketball players of the week for the dates of Feb. 2 through Feb. 8. Washington, a native of Antioch, averaged 11 points and seven assists for the Warriors in a 2-0 week. The Warriors beat Pacific Union College on Thursday in Angwin 64-60 in overtime and won 92-73 over Simpson University in Rocklin on Saturday. Piatt, a native of Lincoln, averaged 12 points and two rebounds for the Keelhaulers in a 2-0 week. The Keelhaulers beat Menlo College on Thursday in Vallejo 60-59 and won 68-54, in a battle for first place, over Holy Names University in Oakland on Saturday. The Warriors and the Keelhaulers will play each other in Rocklin on Thursday.
