The wrestlers at Woodcreek High School had just enough Tuesday to hold off Rocklin 38-35 in a Sierra Foothill League dual match at Woodcreek. The Timberwolves won four bouts by pin and took four others by decision in winning eight of 14 matches on the day. At 103 pounds, Woodcreek’s Sean Merigold pinned Cody Michael and Angelo Ciaraglia pinned Curtis Kunberger in the 112-pound battle. The other Woodcreek pins came at 125 pounds, where Spencer Mason took care of Zackary Martinez and at 189 pounds, where Garrett Jones pinned Joseph Ramos. David Westfall (130), Josh Kyser (140), Jesse Screeton (145) and Josh Young (171) all won their matches for Woodcreek on points. The Timberwolves also won the JV contest.
