Yanks trip up Sox led by Gilbreath’s bat
The Tri-City Little League Majors Yankees topped the Red Sox 7-1 thanks to a career day from Austin Gilbreath, Saturday.
Although it takes nine players to make up a ball team, the 11-year-old Gilbreath came as close to a one-man performance as a baseball player can get.
Gilbreath pitched the entire game giving up one run while striking out 11 BoSox batters in the victory. He also hammered out two home runs, two doubles and drove in six runs to complete his day’s work.
