LOST NECKLACE HOLDS GREAT MEANING

FOLSOM WOMAN HOPES FOR RETURN

Folsom - - Volunteering at a yard sale at Folsom Middle School on Saturday, June 28th, a local Folsom woman lost a necklace of great value and sentiment. The necklace was a gift from the woman’s mother for her 40th birthday last year. The necklace is made of white gold with an “O” pendant made of diamonds, symbolizing her 40th (The Big 4-0) Birthday. The woman’s mother had taken all the diamonds from a gift given to her by her father years earlier to have the 40th birthday gift made, and she purchased two more diamonds to complete the “O”.

Not aware that the necklace was missing, other parents working at the Vista del Lago benefit yard sale reported an elderly woman who may have picked the necklace up on from the ground about 6 feet from the check-out table and put it in a pocket. Because the woman did not ask any questions about the belonging, the parents were hopeful that the necklace was hers or something she had dropped. It wasn’t until later when the necklace was discovered missing that the parents began to put the pieces together.

The Folsom woman now missing the only necklace she has worn for a year would like to have this precious gift returned – no questions asked. She believes the person who picked it up likely had no understanding of the value it holds. Believing that this was an honest mistake, the return can be anonymous and no questions will be asked.

Please contact Vista del Lago High School at (916) 294-2410 x 410130 or Folsom Police Department – Property Division at (916) 355-7230 if you can assist in returning the necklace to its rightful owner. Or return in an envelope marked "cheer" to Vista del Lago High School at 1970 Broadstone Parkway in Folsom.
