The Oroville man charged with a series of rooftop burglaries was arrested Wednesday morning and booked into Placer County Jail.
Adam McGregor, 36, was charged with burglary and committing a felony while on bail in Placer County, according to Placer County Sheriff’s Department detective Jim Hudson.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department captured McGregor at 9 a.m. Wednesday after police received an anonymous tip about his location.
McGregor was one of three suspects in an attempted rooftop burglary at Deuces Wild Casino located off Bowman Road in Auburn.
Law enforcement officials had attempted to arrest McGregor before. McGregor was part of a theft ring that has committed multiple rooftop burglaries in several counties including Nevada and Yuba. Hudson said the suspects would steal money from ATM machines and safes and said it was difficult to estimate the cost of the damage.
On Aug. 29, authorities had arrested one of the theft ring suspects at an Oroville movie theater but McGregor evaded arrest when he jumped from the 30-foot rooftop of the theater. When McGregor was arrested Wednesday, he was treated for his injuries at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital before he was booked into jail, Hudson said.
The Placer County Sheriff’s Department is also working with several other law enforcement agencies. They include the Yuba, Placer, Butte, Nevada, Washoe and Lyon county sheriff’s and Oroville, Truckee and Sparks, Nev., police departments.
McGregor will appear in court at 1 p.m. Friday in Dept. 13. Bail is set at $150,000.

What horrible coverage. Where was he found and arrested? How did it go down?
