The Rocklin Firefighters' Association sponsored their annual Easter Egg hunt Sunday afternoon. Despite weather forecasts calling for showers, warm sunny Spring weather greeted hundreds of egg hunters on Easter Sunday as they scoured Johnson Springview Park for their multi-colored treasures.
"Our egg hunt has been going on for over 40 years, every year we have hundreds of kids that come," said Association President AJ Vidaurri. "It's something that [the Firefighters' Association] likes the do to give back to the community each year."
The Fire Department hard-boiled and dyed 450 dozen eggs, some of which were donated by NuCal Foods in Ripon. And special Easter basket prizes, again courtesy of the Firefighters' Association, awaited those lucky kids who happened upon any green eggs!
