Visitors to a highly-anticipated amusement park opening will have to wait a little longer. Sept. 15 is now scheduled to be the tentative opening date for Quarry Park Adventures Park, according to Rocklin city officials.
The nearly six-acre Quarry Park Adventures is being built at the 160-year-old granite Big Gun Quarry at 4060 Rocklin Road in Rocklin. It will include multiple zip lines, a possible giant King swing, free-fall jumps, boating, a play zone, entertainment and a featured restaurant.

Rocklin Councilwoman Jill Gayaldo stressed that this entertainment monolith is worth the wait.

“While we are all anxiously awaiting the grand opening, this is a one-of-a-kind facility,” Gayaldo siad. “The most important piece is to make sure it’s done right. The good news is, it will definitely be worth the wait.”
Rocklin Mayor  Ken Broadway also spoke with Gold Country Media about the opening.

“The city is currently working with Cal-OSHA to meet all state safety requirements and anticipates the adventure park passing inspection,” Broadway said. “But not in time to complete preparations for the previously-targeted Sept.1 general public access date. After clearing inspections, the park will host groups scheduled to be part of a last round of required operations training, providing a first taste of adventure leading to the public dedication on Sept. 15.”
