Photo by Gary Philbin, username CoolPatti. Photographs of wild animals in their natural habitat are amazing, more so when you happen to stumble across a creature as elusive as a bobcat on the Auburn/Cool Trails. Even though username CoolPatti?s brother Gary Philbin took the original photo, that doesn?t change the essence of the photograph. The photo is sharp and the bobcat making eye contact definitely draws the viewer in.

Abstract photos like this, is like getting a massage for your eyeballs. Merely capturing the girl?s reflection off the water puddle would be cool, but flipping it upside down gives the image another dimension. The lines of the tennis court gives that break through the photo which it needs to achieve the two separate levels, while the red, blue and green colors naturally complement each other.
Photo by Tom Sarradet, username Acadian This photo of Avery Pond near the American River captures the scene perfectly with the swirling blue sky, contrasting with the vibrant orange dirt along the water banks and of course the reflection brings all the elements together for a well-balanced shot.
